陆地棉GhGIR2基因调控植株生长的机理研究

摘 要:

GL (GLABRA) 2互作抑制因子(GL2-interacting repressors, GIRs)是一个植物特有的基因家族, 拟南芥GIR1GIR2能够和GL2互作影响根毛发育。为明确陆地棉同源基因GhGIR2在棉花生长发育中的作用本文对其基因结构、亚细胞定位、组织特异性表达以及转基因拟南芥进行了研究。结果表明: GhGIR2编码84个氨基酸, 与拟南芥中AtGIR2相似度最高; 在根、茎、叶和下胚轴中优势表达, 但在0~15 d的棉花胚珠中低表达; 无茸毛陆地棉的GhGIR2表达量显著高于有茸毛品种。 GhGIR2蛋白定位于细胞核; 过表达植株的生长明显加快, 导致开花提前。

Mechanism of plant growth regulation by GhGIR2 in upland cotton (Gossypium hirsutum)

Abstract:

GL2 interacting receptors (GIRs) are a plant-specifc gene family. It has been found that GIR1 and GIR2 can interact with GL2 affecting root hair development. In order to clarify the role of GhGIR2 in plant growth and development, we have carried out investigation on its gene structure, sub-cellular localization, tissue-specifc expression and transgenic Arabidopsis thaliana. The results showed that GhGIR2 encodes 84 amino acids, which has the highest similarity with AtGIR2 in Arabidopsis. GhGIR2 is dominantly expressed in root, stem, leaf and hypocotyl, but lowly in cotton ovules (0DPA-15DPA). Expression in the glabrous variety is much higher than that covering trichome. GhGIR2 was located in the nucleus and the growth of Arabidopsis over-expressing GhGIR2 was signifcantly accelerated, resulting in early-flowering.
